Everyone loves a good day at the Vineyard. Thanks to an American friend who insisted I visit Chateau La Coste when I arrived in Aix-en-Provence, I now take all of my guests here for a day of wine tasting, lunch and a nice walk amongst the grounds. So much so, that I think it may be time to do a Vineyard hop and find out what else is out there.
What is so great about Chateau La Coste? It is different! There are 5 amazing restaurants, some fancy, some casual. The wine is outstanding and the visit of the grounds is nothing less than spectacular. There is a whole route where you can walk through and enjoy the many modern sculptures that are dotted throughout the property. As you wind your way through the vineyards during your visit, you’ll be treated to not only amazing art but you’ll have a chance to really take in the beauty of the area. As you arrive at the top you’ll have a birds eye view of the entire vineyard. It’s a “pinch me” moment and you know that you are unmistakably in Provence. I never get enough of this place and I know that most people that live here frequent the restaurants. It is so well laid out and is a wonderful day out for families, couples and friends. It is a museum, vineyard and eatery all wrapped into one beautiful package.
I would not miss a day at Chateau La Coste. This is definitely a local favorite.
